    You Can Change Your Career

Paralegal Certificate Program Virtual Information Session

A career change is an excellent reason to apply to or return to a higher education program. Many working class Americans reach a time in their life when their career is no longer part of their passion or goals, anymore. Whether that is due to the salary associated with their position, a change in management, or a change in personal interest, many people experience this at some point in their career.

However, changing ones career is not as simple as leaving the current position, applying to jobs that interest one, and starting anew. Rather, an individual must receive the proper training and education needed in order to acquire the skills needed to succeed in a new field. That is where online courses come in handy, as they offer an individual the ability to learn and specialize in a particular subject without the commitment of attending traditional classes.

    Why Ed 4 Online

Although FNU already offers online classes, Ed 4 Online allows FNU students access to a wide array of subjects that are not currently offered by the university. These subjects include writing and publishing, customer service, test preparation, coaching, and green energy. Many of these subjects have an easy and direct application to ones career path.

Ed 4 Online offers students the opportunity to grow, learn, and gain greater education at their own pace and with the same flexibility offered by FNUs current online courses.

Students can access course information such as curricula, learning materials, and more on their smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop, or any other device that allows internet access. That capability alone makes this service valuable to the modern student by allowing adults added flexibility when wrestling a tight schedule.

Prospective students who are interested in pursuing an education in this manner can review courses available through our web page or on Ed4Online at this location.

For those who are stuck on the fence about deciding whether or not to pursue an education through FNU and Ed 4 Online, it might be helpful to analyze the value of doing so.

The following are reasons why an individual might like to continue their education online, along with the benefits associated with doing so:

    South And Richmond Campuses

In 1946, the University of Miami acquired the former Richmond Naval Air Station in southwestern Miami, 12 mi south of the main campus in order to accommodate the post-war increase in students. The campus was acquired immediately following World War II and provided classrooms, housing, and other amenities for about 1,100 students for two academic years. In 1948, it was repurposed by the University of Miami as a research facility. In the 1960s, some of the buildings were leased to the Central Intelligence Agency. The South Campus Grove was a 350 acres plot for agricultural research and horticultural studies that was established in 1948. For 20 years, the University of Miami used radioactive isotopes in biological research on the South Campus, and buried materials included irradiated animals on the site. In August 2006, the University of Miami agreed to reimburse the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers $393,473 for clean-up costs under the 1980 Superfund law. Its six buildings provide 63,800 sq ft to currently house the Global Public Health Research Group, Miami Institute for Human Genomics, and Forensic Toxicology Laboratory). The University of Miami once planned to build a south campus on the property but opted in 2014 to sell the 80 acres of land instead.

Miami University That Offer Continuing Education Programs

    SONHS Simulation Hospital

The importance of continuing education is becoming more of a priority than it is an option these days. With technology steadily increasing, the need to be at the top of your professional game is ever present. Even professionals who have been working in their industry for decades are at risk of getting their job restructured for someone who is more up to date with the job and the industry overall. This is where new college graduates have the most advantage when applying for job positions. While the main challenge might be gaining experience, with the right university, putting your academic practices to the test will provide you with exactly that.

Still, when employers say that theyre looking for experience, they typically mean 3-5 years of working in a professional environmentsomething that most new graduates find challenging which is why they must search for entry-level positions and then work their way up to a higher position as they eventually gain the years of experience.
